The Rib Mountain Adventure Challenge is an adventure race in which teams of 2-4 members and soloists will run, bike, and paddle their way through the rugged and beautiful Central Wisconsin wilderness using only a map and compass to find the way. Team members must stick together throughout the duration of the race.

With plenty of route choices and obstacles to test your team’s physical strength and mental resolve, this race will be fun for beginners and seasoned athletes alike. 

Choose from the 3-hour, 8-hour, or 18-hour challenge.

This race is a part of Wisconsin’s premier adventure race series featuring races throughout Wisconsin, Illinois, and Minnesota, with cash prizes totaling over $2,000. See the Wisconsin Adventure Racing Series race calendar and find out how your team can compete in the series.

IRONBULL is a charitable organization that promotes outdoor adventure sports and healthy lifestyle in Central Wisconsin. IRONBULL puts on a number of other races including the the Ultra Trail Marathon 50k & 15k, and the Red Granite Grinder gravel race.

The Rib Mountain Adventure Challenge is now a part of the Adventure Racing World Series (ARWS) - North America Circuit; a collection of the best mid-distance adventure races in the Northern Americas region.

The teams to Qualify for the lottery will need to participate in a minimum of 2 of the regional races. The Lottery winner will win Free Entry into the Adventure Racing World Championships.
