WHY IRON Paddle?

Come enjoy a day (or stay the whole weekend) highlighting Central Wisconsin’s finest waterways. Both whitewater and flatwater events will take place, so this is all things paddle for everyone from Olympic hopefuls to those new to paddling. There will be a smattering of classes including flatwater stand up paddle board, whitewater kayak, surf ski flatwater.

Haven’t raced before? This is your chance to “get your feet wet”! We have beginner-friendly courses for whitewater events and flatwater events. No boat, no problem! We can hook you up with an inflatable, canoe, standup paddleboard or kayak for either the flatwater or whitewater events.

Stay the weekend

Recreational release

Get a “boatload” of paddling in by staying the weekend. You can get plenty of whitewater with practice on the whitewater course on Friday starting at 12 pm- 5pm, Racing starting Saturday morning at 9 am with a recreational release to follow after the race on Saturday and all day Sunday (10am-4pm).

What is a recreational release? A recreational release is a day when the water flows and any paddler can use the course freely. Come on down to the course to practice your freestyle skills or zip down the river using your slalom skills.
